Species: Gelt
Commander Kaat is a former Gelt Warrior who served as an officer in the Gelt occupation of Amargosa. Disillusioned with the invasion, he defected to the Northern Resistance and worked alongside Ellie Nardino and Colonel Hu during the final phases of the occupation.
After the Liberation, Kaat remained on Amargosa to assist with reconstruction efforts, focusing on converting Gelt-origin mechs for civilian farming and construction use. In “Wherever I May Roam,” he appears working at the Deming mech plant, collaborating with Ellie on her pilot project to repurpose military mechs.
