The Marilynists as you know it is no more. I took the book off KDP and Draft2Digital yesterday and have handed it off to Clayborn Press. We should have the new cover and a pre-order date soon.
For the uninitiated, The Marilynists concerns Douglas Best, a minister for the government of Jefivah, aka “The Appalachia of the Stars.” Best has secured three colonies for Jefivah – a planet that gets its name from Don Quixote, one whose name is a Doctor Who reference long after the Doctor has parked the Tardis on the BBC backlot for good, and…
Marilyn, named in honor of the goddess of Jefivah’s largest cult. In life, she was known as Marilyn Monroe.
Only seven nuclear warheads have gone missing during the efforts to clear out weapons depots on Marilyn to make it suitable for civilian habitation. And Best is on the hook for them. To avoid prison and find out what happened, he will have to enlist the help of the Marilynists. The search will take him from Jefivah to the wealthy Caliphate to the quiet libertarian world of Belsham and finally to the halls of power on Earth. Through it all, he searches for a man named Luxhomme, who helped set up this deal.
Because Luxhomme isn’t his only name. And Best is not the only person he may have betrayed.
The Marilynists is the second installment of the Compact Universe series and will become Book 2 of the Seeds of War story arc.
Pre-order and release dates will be announced shortly.
